TheatreWorks Performing Arts School Drama and Music Specialists

Introduction

Our Holiday Workshops run during most school holidays and include varied classes including advanced singing and drama, performance, microphone techniques and general stage skills. The classes are taught by fully qualified music and drama teachers who work within secondary schools. After the classes are complete the workshop cumulates in an end of week one-off live performance which is open for family and friends to attend. General Information

What to Wear

There is no set uniform for the workshops, however we recommend clothes suitable for high activity e.g. jogging/trackie bottoms and T-shirt. Trainers or Jazz shoes only for footwear please.

Food

Please bring your own packed lunch and enough to drink for the whole day, it's thirsty work!

We can often arange lunch to be delivered through a local sandwich shop if required, we would prefer all food to be ordered together if required and can provide a menu for the sandwich shop we use, for further information Contact Us.

Leeds TheatreWorks

TheatreWorks Leeds is currently based in Oulton, South Leeds. We are conveniently located halfway between Leeds and Wakefield and are in easy reach of Rothwell, Woodlesford, Garforth, Methley, Swillington, Kippax and Outwood.

York TheatreWorks

TheatreWorks York is currently based in Upper Poppleton, North West of York. We are conveniently located on the York to Harrogate Road (A59) and are in easy reach of Poppleton (Upper & Nether), Acomb, Green Hammerton, Haxby, Wigginton, Rufforth, Copmanthorpe, Rawcliffe, Clifton and Tadcaster.

Workshop Dates and Times

The Next Workshop is May 2008

We are now taking advanced bookings for our May 2008 workshop, which is our version of High School Musical this is already proving very popular and spaces are limited. Our prices remain discounted at a special rate for the Spring. £70 per week (£60 per week for TheatreWorks members). There is an additional discount for siblings £60 for each and subsequent siblings (£50 for each and subsequent siblings providing they are members of TheatreWorks).

As always the weeks workshops cumulates in a one off performance which family and friends can attend for free.

Prices for TheatreWorks Holiday Workshop

(HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS 2008)

£70 per Student per week (£60 TheatreWorks Members)

£60 each for second and subsequent siblings.

Booking a Place

There are limited places in all our workshops and all applications are accepted on a first come first served basis. Limitations are based on venue size and staff to pupil ratio.
